Florida Casinos Now Offer Sports Betting, Craps & Roulette

The Seminole Tribe of Florida has been granted permission to include sports betting, roulette, and craps at all tribal-owned casinos throughout the sunshine state.

Several celebrities lined up to support Florida sports betting and to signify the start of domestic sports gambling. Several celebrity guests included Jon Bon Jovi, Sofia Vergara, Mike Tyson, and Dewayne Wade. The red carpet rolled out for all guests on December 7th, 2023, after the Supreme Court refused to hear the appeal brought on by two pari-mutual companies.

The addition of craps and roulette tables to tribal-owned casinos has been an overlooked part of the $500 million 30-year compact between the state and the Seminole tribe. Seminole Gaming CEO Jim Allen told media sources that entertainment, travel, and tourism will see a positive economic impact from adding the new casino games. Allen believes the new casino additions will increase employment for Florida residents in the casinos and the surrounding businesses.

Online Casino Options In Florida

Domestic casinos cannot offer their casino services online in Florida; however, sports betting from the Seminole casinos can provide betting apps to Florida residents since their servers are located on Tribal grounds.

Most Florida bettors still utilize online Florida casinos outside the state to wager on real-money casino games. Out-of-state online casinos have offered their services to FL residents since the early 2000s and have built their clientele and trust among industry professionals.
