Hard Rock Hollywood Gazebo Collapse Sends Five to Hospital

A night of entertainment at one of Florida’s best-known casino resorts turned into an emergency response after a rooftop structure partially collapsed during severe weather, leaving five people hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred at the DAER Club atop the Seminole Hard Rock, one of Hollywood’s local casinos, where authorities say a sudden gust of wind struck an outdoor structure, causing part of it to fail while guests were nearby. Emergency crews quickly responded, transporting five injured individuals to Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment. Officials have not released the identities of those involved, and the full extent of the structural damage remains under investigation.

While the injuries were described as minor, the event serves as another reminder of how quickly South Florida’s summer weather can create hazardous conditions, particularly at outdoor entertainment venues.

Sudden Weather Appears to Be the Key Factor

According to the Seminole Police Department, the collapse happened after a strong wind gust hit a gazebo-like structure in the outdoor area of the rooftop club. Thunderstorms had been moving through Broward County Saturday evening, bringing heavy rain and powerful winds across the region.

Local weather reports indicated wind gusts between roughly 35 and 50 mph in the area around the time of the incident. Witness videos shared on social media showed guests rushing to help those trapped beneath the damaged structure before first responders arrived. Authorities later closed the affected section of the venue while crews secured the area and began assessing the damage.

The Seminole Tribe emphasized that guest safety remains its highest priority, and the affected club area was shut down immediately following the incident.
